Applying for a Marriage License
Both applicants must visit the Pennington County Recorder's Office in Thief River Falls at the same time to apply for a marriage license. There is no option to apply by mail or have just one person go. Under Minnesota Statute 517.08, both parties must appear in person and provide valid photo identification along with their Social Security numbers.
